THE SPEEDCROSS IN ITS FUNCTIONAL UPDATE
Higher, faster, further - true to the functional vision of the shoe long established among trail runners and tactical athletes, Salomon is once again scratching its own records with the 6th version of theĀ Speedcross 6 Forces: With the proven recipe, but even lighter materials and an improved grip, the shoe is now even less susceptible to dirt. In the tactical "Forces" version, it is also cutĀ particularly wide in the forefootĀ area, so that more space and thus comfort is offered even during lengthy missions.
OUTSOLE
One of the most important changes to the Speedcross is its sole, which is made fromĀ Salomon's Mud Contagrip. As the name suggests, theĀ rubber soleĀ features maximum grip on loose, soft, rough and uneven surfaces. With deep and sharp lugs, the sole is designed for the best grip, which also drains mud quickly for ideal grip even on wet surfaces.
MIDSOLE
Tried and tested and therefore unchanged is the Speedcross 6's midsole system, which uses theĀ typical EngeryCellĀ active foam to offer particularly high energy return combined with excellent cushioning and durability. The sole is welded to the upper material so that the classic Speedcross comfort also promises the necessary peace of mind in tactical use in the new version.
UPPER, FIT AND LACING
With its Sensifit construction, Salomon finally brings the precise and optimal support that ensures the extraordinary safety of the shoe, especially in tactical use: theĀ SensiFit conceptĀ consists of three components: the upper material, the inner lining and the lacing. These three elements come together to create an individual and precise fit that gives the foot support while guaranteeing flexibility and comfort.
The upper of the Speedcross 6 is made of aĀ flexible anti-dirt meshĀ that fits to the foot like a glove for support. The tight mesh prevents dirt from settling between the foot and the footbed without restricting the breathability of the upper. TheĀ woven ripstop nylon fabricĀ is robust and resistant to abrasion and sharp edges.
The inner lining is soft and breathable, providing comfortable cushioning and good air circulation.
The third component of the SensiFit construct, theĀ Quicklace lacingĀ offers a particularly simple but strong lacing with one pull, so that the shoe can be put on easily and quickly while maintaining an optimal fit.
With its background as a trail running shoe and in this tactical functional update, the Speedcross 6 Forces is the functional extension of the mission classic, which is now even more reliable and safe for missions on difficult and wet surfaces.
